Simple Ways to Practice Mindfulness Everyday

Bringing mindfulness into your life can have a big impact on your overall health and well-being. Here's some of our favorite tips for becoming more present in your day-to-day life: 

1. Enjoy the small things: Instead of rushing through life, take the time to slow down and notice the small moments. It could be as simple as having a cup of tea or sitting down to write a letter to a friend. Thought your day, take more moments to breath and become aware of your surroundings. Being immersed in your environment can be invigorating and energizing, as it brings you back to the present moment. 

2. Start a gratitude journal: Focusing on what we have instead of what we don't have instills a sense of gratitude within us that leads to a more fulfilled life. You can try jotting down a gratitude list in the morning when you wake up on pen and paper, or do it on your phone on the go. It's great to do this activity with friends and share what you're grateful for and encourage each other. 

3. Learn to meditate: Mindfulness and mediation have become more popular and mainstream in the last few years as offices and companies started promoting the practice amongst employees-- and for good reason! Taking a few minutes out of your day to breath and bring awareness to your mind can energize and refocus you for a productive, healthy day.
